A Lot of Changes at the Library

When you visit Hebron Public Library make sure you look underneath the table in the entrance, anything on top of the table or underneath the table is free. However, movies in rack and books on bookshelves are for sale. They are priced at whatever donation you would like to make to the library.

We also have a collection of new movies! What was previously the audio/visual room is now becoming an expanded part of the non-fiction and will feature the more “crafty” books, how-to books, recipe books, and much more! (This is due to the amount of donations we are going through. Which is awesome because that means there are so many more books to check out!) The movies have been moved to the hallway near the children’s room. Except for: the family genre is in the main lobby, the documentaries will be moved to non-fiction, and the children’s educational and small children’s movies will be in the children’s room. The audio is now also in the main lobby.

Because of the amount of books we have received and are going through, we have had to move things around to make room for a more up-dated, larger selection. If you would like to make monetary donations to help with the funding of shelves please call Laurie Dakken at (701) 878-4110.

49 Visitors for Easter Egg-stravaganza

On Wednesday April 12th, 2017 the Hebron Public Library hosted an Easter party. We had “pin-the-tail-on-the-bunny”, ring toss, and a bean bag toss. We had a Story Time and Easter themed crafts. And thanks to local businesses such as Dakota Community Bank, Jack and Jill, and Dale and MarJean Sease we were able to give cookies out and  prizes to every kid. Also, we owe a thank you to the Hebron Public Library Board members Roxane Walth, Mugsy Kitzan, and Jes Conlon, a dear friend of the library Violet Sease, Aly Dakken and Wyatt Dakken, and Trinadee White for making this possible! We had quite a turn out, more than expected, with 49 visitors!

May 18, 2016

Today we worked on our alphabet and we are on the letter “R”!  We read A Pocket Full of Kisses by Audrey Penn and It’s a Baby Raccoon! by Kelly Doudna!!  These were such cute and informative books, the kids and parents loved them!!  After reading we turned our letter “R” into a raccoon.  It is the cutest “R” I’ve seen in a long time!!  The kids think raccoons are the cutest, so this was so fun to do with them.

For craft time this week we have Ricky and Sarah Dominguez and Morghan Coots pictured. For story time we also had Coco with us, and we’ve been missing a couple faces that I can’t wait to see again!!  The Kennington family welcomed a new member to their family the other week and I can not wait to see all of them again and meet the new addition!!  Congrats to them!
